A business graduate and accountant, Patrick spent the first half of his career with Avonmore Farmers Co-operative (now Glanbia plc) A business graduate and accountant, Patrick spent the first half of his career with Avonmore Farmers Co-operative (now Glanbia plc). Patrick was their first Group Internal Auditor and progressed to become Chief Accountant. He then became General manager of the Fresh Products Division and joined the Executive Board in 1986. The organisation went public in 1988. Patrick’s entrepreneurial career began when establishing Advanced Environmental Solutions (AES) in 2000. The business he founded was eventually sold to Bord na Mona for ~€64m in 2007. Patrick continued his interest in the waste management business through a number of key assignments in Ireland, the UK and USA post the sale of AES. In 2014 he founded and established TRIFOL Resources Limited.

Tom specializes in providing corporate development advice and financial support to companies both nationally and internationally in respect of their strategic and financial requirements. His client base primarily operates in the environmental, cleantech, waste management and IT sectors. Tom began his career with Coopers & Lybrand (PWC) and The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) prior to forming in 1983 BCDM, a Dublin based firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants that subsequently merged with Binder Hamlyn & Co in 1989. He graduated in Economics and Business Studies from Trinity College, Dublin

John is a highly experienced company director and Chairman who has served on a number of private and NFP boards. His main area of private and NFP boards. His main area of focus is helping business owners and boards realise their commercial ambitions. He commenced his career in the recycling business then establishing an environmental consultancy business and thence an ISO certification business. He recently sold that business to private equity. As an expert, author and advisor in the area of sustainability, John has worked in multiple territories including USA, Middle East & ASEAN for public, governmental and private businesses. He has been an appointed expert to various international bodies working in the area of sustainable development. His experience is across multiple industry verticals with specific expertise in manufacturing, business consulting, recycling and renewables. Dr. Ryan is a graduate of University College Galway & University College Dublin and holds professional qualifications from the Institute of Directors, Associate of Energy Engineers and the Corporate Governance Association.

Professor Kevin McDonnell

Professor McDonnell is Programme Director for the School of Agriculture and Food Science and the School of Biosystems & Food Engineering at University City Dublin, Ireland. Professor McDonnell’s specialist interdisciplinary area of Agricultural Systems addresses the sustainable use of bio-resources with a global perspective, including agri-based bio-energy systems and the agri-food based bio-economy. In the last 5 years, Professor McDonnell has collaborated as Co-PI on competitively secured national and European research projects worth in excess of €56m, and is the co-ordinator on the LIFE EU H2020 project worth €5.5m. Professor McDonnell has published over 150 peer reviewed papers. He has worked with a global focus and through Consult UCD linked with multiple companies and start-ups. Prior to joining UCD Professor McDonnell was an Inspector (Waste licensing & Enforcement) with the Environmental Protection Agency.

Daniel is an entrepreneur with a successful 20-year track record of building and growing businesses. After graduating from journalism school in Germany, he started his first business, leveraging and developing his skills and experience in media, marketing, event production and talent/relationship management. Daniel has managed and produced award-winning content, events and corporate campaigns in more than 100 countries. His collaboration with dozens of blue chip brands across several industries has led him to valuable and reliable contacts all over the world. Now an established strategy consultant and owner of multiple businesses, he has a passion for supporting start-ups as they scale and enjoys sharing his vast network and experience with other entrepreneurs.

Ruben is leading the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan, managing the company’s resources, and driving growth and profitability. He is actively involved in developing relationships with our future customers and investors. His leadership style in one of fostering diversity and inclusion, leading a culture of collaborative innovation with open and transparent communication. Ruben has a track record scaling up, developing and commercializing technologies in different fields within the energy sector (GTL, CTL, Clean Energy, Hydrogen, Biofuels second generation) and chemical manufacturing sector where he run more commercial roles managing strategy development and execution for large multinational companies in the past.

Graduate of Dairy & Food Science – UCC – 1970. One of the original members of Avonmore Executive Team when the company became a PLC in 1986. Former general manager Avonmore/Glanbia milk product’s division, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny and former group purchasing director of Glanbia Group PLC . Has extensive business experience across a range of businesses and has served on several company boards, now retired.
